Dissolve baking soda in water and lemon juice. Put beef into bowl. Add breadcrumbs, onions, garlic and spices. Mix thouroughly by hand. Add water mixture, keep mixing until you have a smooth consistency. Let mixture rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Cooking

Mould the mixture into flattish balls. Pre-heat barbecue or pan. Add cooking oil to pan. Fry each side for about 2 mins.

Serving

Serve with grilled veggies, hummus and bread.
