Heat oil in a wok, add the curry paste and stir. Add meat and stir-fry until golden brown.
Stir in the coconut milk, then add the water and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the pumpkin, lime leaves, fish sauce and sugar. Reduce the heat and simmer for another 15 minutes. Add the chillies, stir once.
Ladle into a serving dish and garnish with basil leaves.
